Renovation of primary schools in the city of Tibati
Events — By EducationWB on August 8, 2010 at 11:15 amDuring a visit in the city of Tibaty, our representative in Cameroon has discovered that most elementary school classrooms were in bad conditions and in some classes, students sat on the floor because of the lack of chairs or benches. We thought we could make a difference for the children by renovating classrooms, providing tables, benches, blackboards and educational material. Background:
During a visit in Tibati, small city in North Cameroon, our representative discovered that most elementary school classrooms were in very bad condition and in some classes, students were even sitting on the floor because there was no chair, nor bench. We have been touched by the difficult conditions for the children and decided to help and started this project.
The local city representative have decided to participate and allocated some financial aid to complete the project.

Work planned:
- Renovation of classrooms
- Equip the renovated classrooms with desks and benches
- Equip classes with blackboards
- Provide educational materials

Goal of the project:
Give a decent environment for students and teachers and provide better study condition for the new scholar year starting in September 2010.
