Education Without Borders was founded in Geneva, Switzerland, by a group of friends. The objective of Education Without Borders is to help youngsters from poor families in developing countries. This aid is mainly oriented towards education and the association is trying to develop scholarships, training, small projects as well as give financial aid to students who have parents with very limited or no income. The board committee members are:

In order to be more efficient and have day-to-day contact with local authorities, Education Without Borders has decided to open branches in the areas where the association operates. This is the case for Cameroon, where a branch was opened in 2005 under the supervision of Mr. Bienvenu Libomane, local representative of the association. We hope to open a new branch in Burundi in the near future.
